David Hunt started juggling at age 12, inspired by the antics of his father, a practicing amateur magician. By 18 he was eating fire and by 24 he was walking on a rope. His early years as a performer set him out as an original touring member of the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus where he honed not only performance skills, but also ensemble work, show production, and a passion to develop his trade. Committed to performance as well as community development, in 2000 Hunt co-founded the New Orleans School of Circus Arts which offered youth and adult circus classes from 2000 - 2004. In 2004 and 2005 Hunt relocated to San Francisco Bay Area to further develop his skills at the SF Circus Center. Over the next 4 years, David trained with Xia Kemin, Xiao Hong Weng (San Francisco), Masha Dimitri (Switzerland) and much on his own.
In the spring of 2008, along with trapeze artist Abigail Munn, David co-founded Circus Bella, a classical, open - air, one ring circus. He currently continues to reside in the SF Bay Area.
David has performed in productions by San Francisco Super Club, Zoppe Italalian Family Circus, New Pickle Circus, Gregangelo's Velocity Circus, Carl Mack Presents, Paper Doll Promotions, and Periwinkle Productions.
